"Erin Brockovich" Chemical In Drinking Water Of More Than 200 Million Americans

Although this news comes from south of the Canadian border, drinking water everywhere is at risk. There are numerous amounts of chemicals that enter our water supply from industry use. Hexavalent Chromium or Chromium -6 is a toxic chemical that is commonly used in paints and primers, textiles, leather tanning, and wood preservation industries. Although useful to these industries, improper disposal of the chemical can lead to leaching into the drinking water supply and cause health risks to those who ingest it.

By educating yourself and taking control of your own drinking water you can help to minimize your exposure to known and unknown chemicals. A home reverse osmosis system will remove 95-98% of chemical contaminants including Hexavalent Chromium.
